With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, some people might wonder what else I could possibly pursue. Although I do have a passion for science, I have always been more interested in industry experience rather than academia. This drove me to pursue an MBA program.
However, getting into an MBA program is not easy. As a prospective student, there are several requirements to fulfill such as taking exams like CAT/GMAT, attending personal interviews, and staying ahead of the competition. Furthermore, I could not afford to do this full-time on campus as I have work and family commitments.
I came across upGrad education and its programs, but I was skeptical about joining. I wondered if the education was worth it and if it would be recognized. I also had concerns about balancing my family and work commitments. I researched online and asked questions to upGrad counselors who patiently guided me through the program.
Although I had mixed feelings about online education, my gut instinct urged me to enroll in the program. I took a leap of faith, and now I have successfully completed 6 months in the program. The courses are practical, and some simulation models are designed by Harvard Business School.
Over the last 11 months, I had an incredible experience with upGrad and IMT. Despite trying to juggle my personal and professional life, I managed to balance both and succeed. Nevertheless, it would have been difficult without the affection and assistance of my family and colleagues. I am glad to have taken this journey with Upgrad, one of the reasons being, it did change my prespective of businesses, products, services, workforce completely.
